Sde Boker Field School

General Information

Sde Boker Field School was founded in 1963, and was the second field school in Israel. The field school was founded as a center for groups that wish to wander the desert trails, and as a study and research center for students and travelers. The field school is located in the heart of the Negev desert above the wilderness of Zin Valley. Its central location enables fast transportation to most of the significant sights of the northern Negev. The Field School is located in a small settlement with services as a minimarket, post office, restaurants, medical clinic and a swimming pool during the summer.

Accommodation

Hamburg guest house – 20 comfortable guest house rooms equipped with air-conditioning, cable TV, refrigerator.
Youth hostel – 44 youth hostel rooms for groups and families throughout the year.
Conference center for workshops, seminars and conventions.
Dining Hall - Air-Conditioned dining hall for up to 300 guests – Kosher.

Guidance

Sde Boker Field School occupies a professional Guidance staff, specializes in the craters area and the Zin valley. We offer a variety of field Activities: Day trips in the area, Moonlit hiking, treks includes outdoor sleeping, groups and families excursions, nature activities for kids, biotopes and seminars for high schools. Our guests are invited to the "desert amphibians center" - an exhibition of snakes and other desert animals.

To travelers and hikers we offer professional guidance consultance of the northern and central Negev.
